Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 16202BA

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin 39mm (Ref. 16202BA) – Featuring a Striking Gilded “Golden Hour” Dial
【Case】The 39mm yellow gold case retains the iconic octagonal silhouette, accented by signature exposed hexagonal screws. With a slender profile of just 8.1mm, it defies the typical bulkiness of gold timepieces, offering an exceptionally comfortable, ergonomic fit on the wrist. The entire watch—from the case to the integrated bracelet—is finished with a sophisticated interplay of brushed and polished surfaces, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship of Swiss high horology in every detail. It is secured by a folding clasp adorned with the “AP” monogram, adding a touch of elegant ritual to the act of fastening the watch.
【Gilded Dial】The dial is the soul of the 16202BA. It features a unique, smoky, golden-hued gradient that transitions from a radiant, gilded center to a deep, ink-like tone at the edges—evoking the image of molten gold from a setting sun dissolving into the twilight. The “Petite Tapisserie” pattern adds depth and texture, complemented by applied, luminescent yellow gold hour markers and the signature Royal Oak hands. With the classic “AP” logo at 6 o’clock and a date window at 3 o’clock, the minimalist layout is rich with thoughtful details; enhanced by luminescent coating, the watch remains as captivating by night as it is by day.
【New-Generation Movement】Equipped with the all-new, ultra-thin ZF Calibre 7121, the movement measures just 3.2mm in thickness. It features hand-finished decorations, operates at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), and offers a power reserve of over 48 hours. The date mechanism is distinguished by a new, energy-efficient, low-profile design that includes a convenient quick-set function.
